Foundation Crack Repair
Kinetic Basement Solutions uses a two step process for crack repair to ensure lasting protection for your foundation against water seepage and structural strength.
Step 1: Injection:
Cracks are injected with expandable urethane that soaks in thin to penetrate crack. The material then expands for a water tight seal. This alone stops the leak; however movement of the foundation could ruin this repair. It is for this reason and also because injection doesn’t re-strengthen the structure that we apply step 2 to most home foundation cracks.
Step 2: Fiber Lock Bracing:
Fiber Lock is spread over the crack or hole. The purpose is to hold the crack together via a carbon fiber, low strength, and high stretch weave. This is a permanent repair that has been around for years and is so strong it can be used in a failing wall situation as well as cracks.
By incorporating these two steps we do not have to come back and reseal cracks upon foundation shifting. One fix is permanent, and we stand behind our work. Proper preparation and knowledge of crack repair requires skill and experience, both of which we possess.
