Sante Fe Compact - For Crawl Spaces!
40% of the air in your home comes from what is called stack effect. Stack effect is when air warms up and rises from bottom to top. It can't be stopped, especially in new energy efficient homes. This causes many allergens from poor basement air quality to be trapped in the first and second floor of the house. The best way to achieve good overall air quality in your home is to achieve a healthy home from the bottom up.
The American Lung Association and EPA recommend maintaining relative humidity in the 30%-50% range. A quality dehumidifier is an appliance every home should have to achieve this protection for you and your family.
Application Specific Design
The Sante Fe Compact Dehumidifier was specifically designed for crawlspaces. At 13" tall and 12" wide, the Sante Fe Compact can fit where no other dehumidifier can. The Compact’s horizontal configuration and flow-through design perform exceptionally well in tight crawlspaces. The optional condensation pump and ducting kits provide the installation flexibility necessary for the most challenging applications. No mass-merchant dehumidifier can perform as efficiently and effectively in crawlspaces as the Sante Fe Compact. Recommended in conjunction with crawlshield.
Not All Dehumidifiers are the Same
If you're not using a large enough dehumidifier you may be doing nothing but circulating moisture through your walls and into your basement. In order to lower humidity in a basement, up to 150 pints of water a day may be needed to be removed and expelled outside the basement. This is common amount of water for a normal home, but most local store bought dehumidifiers remove more along the lines 10 pints per day. This really has no effect on your basement other then raising your electric bill. Our dehumidifiers are also self draining and have odor and allergen filtration, with coal and HEPA filters available. These units are all Energy Star rated and use the same amount electricity as smaller units. They are designed to work in low temperatures efficiently, which is perfect for a basement. If necessary, they can be ducted for multi room applications.
The Sante Fe Compact dehumidifier is designed for smaller basements and crawl spaces and to work efficiently in low temperature. It can be hung from rafters to free up floor space, or positioned within confined crawl spaces down to 13 inches of clearance. Comes with 2 years of service and warranty.
